Summer Sunset, Jagoda Sadowska

Summer-Sunset-Jagoda-Sadowska.JPG

Summer Sunset was created by Jagoda Sadowska — a series of illustrations exploring this why this time of day, during these particular months, is so exceptional. She attempts to compare this sense with other moments that provide a similar feeling, which she believes is a mixture of dissatisfaction, craving and longing. A sunset can only be enjoyed for so long before it disappears, leaving no allowance for greed and forcing the viewer to appreciate every second of deepening saturation while it lasts.

Jagoda Sadowska is an illustrator based in Edinburgh (“or anywhere with good internet connection and kettle”). She works in a variety of mediums, using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Ink, Paint and Watercolor stains, charcoal dirt, colored pencils, markers, fine liners, pencils, pastels, lino cut, screen-print. Sadowska was recently longlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2020
