The Observer’s Book of Sea and Sea Shore was donated to The Nature Library during its first ever location at Civic House and is a pocket sized treasure chest of the sea. With chapters on Waves, Tides and Currents, Seaborne Sands and Shingle, and the stunning and peculiar living creatures of the seashore from Seaweeds and Lichens, Sea-birds, Octopuses and everything in between. The book also includes 64 plates in colour and monochrome, 48 of them beautifully illustrated by Ernest C. Mansell.
